Day 1: Travel to the Surf Camp
Land in Sydney during the morning today you’ll leave before meeting your new surfing buddies at Central Station for 10 or 11pm (depending on season). Travel overnight by bus to the amazing Spot X Surf camp and get to know everyone!
Day 2: First surf!
Hit the water first thing in the morning for your first surf lesson with your instructor. Have a lazy nap in the afternoon on the sand or opt for a fun optional activity back at camp. The choice is endless!
Days 3-6: Surf days
Ride the tide alongside your expert pro guide and take part in ‘surf expression’ each afternoon. Kick back and relax as you opt in for various Aussie water activities or head out and explore the surrounding beaches!
Day 7:Transfer to Byron Bay
After your last surf lesson in the morning, its time to head to Byron Bay by bus. You'll get into Byron Bay at around 5pm with enough time to check into the accommodation of your choice (which will be at an additional cost) and hit the town with your new friends!

You’ll be staying to dorm accommodation in clean and comfortable accommodation at the surf camp. You will also have one night on a luxury overnight bus travelling from Sydney to Spot X.
The surf camp has facilities including a laundry, an entertainment area, internet access, movie room, volleyball court, a cooking area and tour desk to help you plan your onward travel.
Accommodation is not included whilst in Sydney and Byron Bay.
You will be provided with 3 meals a day whilst at the surf camp on days 2 – 6.
You will need to meet your group in Sydney city centre at 10pm 11pm on day 1 (depending on season). For this reason you should land into Sydney no later than 3pm on your start date. We recommend arriving a few days early so you have a chance to explore Sydney.
The trip ends in Byron Bay on your final day in the afternoon. We recommend making onwards travels plans from Byron Bay for the day after your trip ends.
The minimum age for this programme is 18 years old.
All visitors to Australia (except New Zealand residents) require a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) to enter: these must be obtained before trying to enter Australia. If you're planning on taking paid work whilst in Australia, you'll need a Working Holiday Visa. Both types of visa application can be made online.

Different transport & accommodation
You may find yourself on transport or in accommodation that would not typically be used, such as hostels that are more secluded, or on more private transport. This may vary by trip, or even by individual departure dates.
Most trips include a meeting on arrival with the guide or local team to discuss the trip, and this is an opportunity for you to ask any questions. You should arrive in time to attend these briefings.

Should you require medical assistance whilst travelling, the local team or guide will be able to help you get to a point of care. Medical facilities and standards can vary across the glove, so you should ensure you have adequate travel insurance in place.
Varying group sizes
To begin with, many trips will run with amended group sizes, so you may find smaller groups than would be typical. This may vary by trip, or even by individual departure dates.
Whilst there may be changes on our trips, it is vital that you make travelling safer for yourself, your travel companions, the local staff and guides, and the people of the country you are visiting. You should follow all local laws and restrictions, and follow the guidance of the local team. In addition, you can help make travel safer by bringing and using your own face coverings/masks and hand sanitiser, social distance where appropriate, wash your hands frequently, and cover your face when coughing or sneezing.
