Begin your Melbourne experience with a week of activities and excursions in and around this gorgeous southern city!

Touch down into Melbourne airport, where you’ll be met by the local team and transferred to your comfortable hostel accommodation in the north of the city. Settle in, freshen up after your flight and start meeting the rest of your group!
Day 2: Start Exploring
Kick off the day with a morning welcome meeting with your Melbourne guides. You’ll then explore this sparkling city on a group walking tour. Get your bearings and start soaking up the vibes of this amazing place. Tonight, head to the banks of the Yarra River and tuck into a delicious included welcome dinner.
Day 3: Melbourne Flavours
Plunge into the sights, sounds and smells of Queen Victoria Market and search out some tasty treats for breakfast. Then, it’s time to discover the incredible culinary delights of Melbourne on an included food tour. Sample coffee, ice cream, chocolate, dumplings and more on this delicious foodie odyssey through the city, ending up in bustling Chinatown.
Day 4-5: Beach Getaway
Leave the city behind and explore the gorgeous landscapes around Melbourne. Your first stop is Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island. Enjoy some time chilling on the beach and then sample some local wines with the group. After that, prepare for an unforgettable sight – hundreds of penguins running across the sand!
The next day, you’ll enjoy an included surf lesson and an unforgettable encounter with some iconic Aussie creatures: kangaroos and koalas! Return to Melbourne this evening.
Please note: In the winter months, the surfing lesson may not run. Instead, you will enjoy kayaking or mountain biking.
Day 6: Super St Kilda
Enjoy a stroll through the lush greens of the city’s botanical gardens, and then discover the beach suburb of St. Kilda. Enjoy a stroll along the broad beach promenade, sit with a coffee and watch the world go by at one of the quirky independent cafes, or laze on the beach and soak up the Australian sunshine. Alternatively, you can opt to go skydiving (extra cost)!
April-September departures: Please note during these winter months, the beach day in St Kilda will be replaced with an exciting day in Melbourne, enjoying a wonderful Aborginial Heritage Tour in the stunning Botanical Gardens, before heading to the Eureka Skydeck, Australia's highest viewing platform, for epic views of the city!
Day 7: Work and Travel Info
Today is dedicated to getting prepared for the next stage of your Australian experience. This morning, you’ll get the low-down on working in Oz, and find out about tax, bank accounts, accommodation, courses, employment opportunities, and more.
After lunch, you’ll enjoy some one-on-one time with the local team. During these individual sessions, you can chat about your plans in Australia and get some fantastic tailored advice.
