You’ll stay in a range of different accommodation during this trip, which will mainly consist of comfortable backpacker guesthouses. You’ll mostly share twin or triple rooms with other members of the same sex from your group. All the hostels, lodges, and guesthouses we select for our trips are clean, safe, and set in great locations. If you are travelling with a friend or partner, let us know when you book so we can make arrangements for you to stay in the same room.
Some, but not all meals are included in the price of your trip. Meals outside of those included on the itinerary are yours to choose from, which is a fantastic opportunity to get out and try the local cuisine – which is absolutely delicious! Food in Southeast Asia is mostly very cheap, so eating out shouldn’t be too much of a strain on the finances.
Your trip begins in Bangkok. You will need to arrange your flight to Thailand to arrive at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) on your programme start date between the hours of 6am and 10pm; we recommend that you arrive before 3pm, if possible, so that you are able to join the first night out with the group.
The Thailand leg of your trip finishes on Koh Tao on day 25. From here, you will need to make your way back to Bangkok, either by ferry and coach or ferry and flight. You will then need to fly to Siem Reap for the next stage of your adventure.
The Cambodia leg of your trip finishes in Phnom Penh on day 12. For visa reasons, you will most likely need to fly from Phnom Penh into Ho Chi Minh City in time for the next leg of your experience. Your Vietnam trip ends in Hanoi on day 17.
Please note, there may be some spare days between programmes. This is a great opportunity for some independent travel experiences! Accommodation and activities during these periods are at your own cost. Please speak to a travel advisor for more information.
To book your flights, please contact our flight specialist on 01892 277037 who will find you the best deal on the day. Please provide them with your full name as it is stated in your passport.
The minimum age to join this combo experience is 18 years old.
It is your responsibility to obtain the necessary visas for your time away and ensure that you have the correct travel documents.
British passport holders arriving by air can enter Thailand for 30 days without a visa. Please ensure your passport is valid, with six months' validity remaining on the date of your planned return, and that you hold a valid return flight, or onward travel, ticket.
Cambodia & Vietnam
You will need visas to enter both Cambodia and Vietnam. Most UK citizens will qualify for an e-visa for each country, which can be applied for online (you'll need to apply separately for both countries). You must have at least six months’ validity remaining on your passport from the date you plan to return home.
Please check the Thai, Cambodian and Vietnam Embassy websites for up-to-date requirements before applying for your visas. Visa regulations are subject to change without prior notice.
Do I Need Any Vaccinations?
We’re not qualified to offer you medical advice, so you should visit your GP well ahead of time to find out what inoculations you might need. Remember to tell them exactly where you’re travelling to as vaccination and medication requirements vary between different Southeast Asian regions. You’ll also need to make sure you have enough of any prescribed medication to see you through the duration of your trip.
I’m Travelling With A Friend, Can We Stay Together?
Yes! Let us know when you book and we’ll make sure you both get to stay in the same rooms.
How Much Spending Money Should I Bring With Me?
A rough budget of around £120-£150 per week should be plenty to keep you fed and watered, but you’ll more than likely want to try out a few optional activities and have some extra cash for souvenirs, so make sure you budget for this.
