South Africa Big 5 Wildlife and Community

Get involved with this exciting wildlife conservation programme on a real Big 5 reserve in a stunning part of South Africa; near Port Elizabeth on the world famous Garden Route. As a South Africa wildlife volunteer, you'll be assisting in lots of different activities including game monitoring, game capture, as well as the possibility of caring for lions, elephants and even tigers in the sanctuary.*

South Africa Lion Cub Experience

Two weeks of living next to wild animals in your semi-luxury tent, you’ll work with lions, care for cubs, cheetahs, giraffes and hyenas, as well as loads of other species of wildlife, and then there’s the safari. When you work with lions, they may well get to recognise you, and you may have to explain to the giraffes and baby hyenas that at the end of the day, friends with claws or ridiculously long necks are not allowed through customs.

The South Africa Experience is an action packed two-week adventure encapsulating the best that South Africa has to offer. Spend a week as a wildlife conservation volunteer on a fantastic Big 5 private game reserve near Port Elizabeth; then after all that hard work it’s time to kick back, relax and enjoy the ride… travelling along the stunning Garden Route there are endless memories waiting to be made; rounding it all off in Cape Town, one of the greatest cities in the world!

South Africa Monkey Rehabilitation

You’ll be helping out with this amazing project that aims to give shelter and care to Vervet monkeys, which have been injured, orphaned or abused. So they can’t be released back into the wild. Instead, they’re rehabilitated and housed in natural enclosures with their fellow primate companions.

South Africa Game Ranger Course

Spend your time on a beautiful game reserve in South Africa and split your time between volunteering and studying for your Game Ranger qualification.

Kruger to Coast Volunteer Adventure

This is a real Southern Africa adventure! Safari! Swim! Five days and a million memories in one of the continent’s wildest wildlife spots – South Africa’s Kruger National Park – a week with wild whale sharks, diving and exploring the coral reefs in the warm blue waters of the ocean. Soak up the culture and learn what life’s like in a Swazi village.

South Africa Child Development Volunteers

This is one our most rewarding South Africa volunteer programmes which gives you the opportunity to really make a difference to lives of the children at the centre. This volunteer programme is based at Doreen’s Creche, a well established Childcare Centre in the Masiphumelele Township, near Cape Town. The centre takes care of over 50 children aged from three to six years during the day whilst their parents go out to work.

South Africa Children's Hospital Volunteers

You will be Volunteering in South Africa, spending time enriching the lives of patients in a hospital dedicated to sick and injured young children.  Although the children in the hospital have experienced some terrible situations, by working within a team, your role is to bring fun, excitement and enjoyment to the wards.

South Africa Sports Volunteers

Volunteering in South Africa you will be assisting with sports activities at a school in the disadvantaged community of Ocean View. There are approximately 1200 children and only 34 teachers at the school and although the school would really love to be in a position to employ a full time sport specialist, they are unable to do so for financial reasons. Your help as a sports volunteer is desperately needed. 

Round the World Gap Year - Option 2

Travel from the wide expanses of Africa to the tropical paradise of Fiji on a diverse and life changing gap year experience! You can mix exploration with volunteering, paid work abroad, water sports and also do a little bit of independent travel in between.
